What are the criteria for a Tier 1 Investor visa?
You must provide evidence that:
(a) You have £2 million under their control in a UK regulated bank.
You must invest the money for 5 years in the UK and at least £2,000,000 must be in UK government bonds, UK equities or loan capital in active trading UK companies. Property investments or offshore companies are not allowed.
There is no requirement for business experience or English language requirements and employment is permitted under this visa.
You must make the UK your main home and spend more than 50% of your time in the UK.
Accelerated routes to permanent residency are available if you invest £5 million or £10 million which allows for settlement 2 years
